Natalia Vodianova Vogue Deutsch July 2011

July 2011 covers keep coming out, and this time we have German Vogue, with Natalia Vodianova on its cover. Dressed in Louis Vuitton, that collection when at the show models got on the runway by elevators. Russian model, mother of three children, looks - as usual - remarkable. Look and make sure it's true. Enjoy yourselves.

Smart and beautiful - they love her.

Angelina Jolie in Louis Vuitton Core Values Campaign

Angelina Jolie became another star who was shot for Louis Vuitton Core Values ad campaign. These photos previously featured such people as Mikhail Gorbachev, Keith Richards, Catherine Deneuve, Bono and his wife Ali Hewson, Sean Connery, Francis Ford Coppola and his daughter Sofia. These photos are shot in those places where these people travel in their real lives. Of course, with Louis Vuitton bags.

Angelina Jolie was shot in Cambodia's Siem Reap province, where she first traveled in 2000, to film her movie Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. What's interesting, she had no make-up on and wore her own clothes with her own Louis Vuitton Alto bag, which she has owned for more than 6 years. They say, A-list actress was paid millions for the campaign, and donated a great part for charity. Enjoy yourselves.

“People are not used to seeing Angelina in this situation,” said Pietro Beccari, Vuitton’s executive vice president. “I like the fact that it’s a real moment. This travel message we give through personal journeys is a fundamental one for the brand.”

“This campaign is about a very special person and a very special journey,” Beccari said.

What's also notorious, Louis Vuitton Alto bag's style is no longer in production, but “we are considering to re-edit it,” Beccari noted.

Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton Exhibition

Next year, Les Arts Décoratifs, Paris, plan to hold an exhibition devoted to the luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton. The attention will be focused on house's creative director Marc Jacobs, who, beside Louis Vuitton, has his own 2 brands - Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs. The designer took over the creative reigns in 1997, with first ready-to-wear collection for the brand, and still holds the position. The exhibition will also pay tribute to the iconic fashion house's eponymous designer, who started out his career as a trunkmaker in 1854.

According to Chief Curator Pamela Gobin, next year's show will be focused on two key periods in design history as seen through the two men's work: the industrial revolution in the 19th century - Louis Vuitton, and fashion globalisation - Marc Jacobs.

I have sympathy for Marc Jacobs. He wasn't in the centre of loud scandals, he always looks peaceful and happy, and I like his collection of Birkins. On the whole, he has a good taste. There are people you feel you like them. That's the case.

If you go to New York and pass by Louis Vuitton boutique on Fifth Avenue, you'll be delighted with what you'll see. Ostrich-themed windows will definitely catch your eye.

Fifth Avenue windows feature a wall of S/S women's shoes hatching from Ostrich eggs.
