Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton Exhibition

Next year, Les Arts Décoratifs, Paris, plan to hold an exhibition devoted to the luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton. The attention will be focused on house's creative director Marc Jacobs, who, beside Louis Vuitton, has his own 2 brands - Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs. The designer took over the creative reigns in 1997, with first ready-to-wear collection for the brand, and still holds the position. The exhibition will also pay tribute to the iconic fashion house's eponymous designer, who started out his career as a trunkmaker in 1854.

According to Chief Curator Pamela Gobin, next year's show will be focused on two key periods in design history as seen through the two men's work: the industrial revolution in the 19th century - Louis Vuitton, and fashion globalisation - Marc Jacobs.

I have sympathy for Marc Jacobs. He wasn't in the centre of loud scandals, he always looks peaceful and happy, and I like his collection of Birkins. On the whole, he has a good taste. There are people you feel you like them. That's the case.
