Victoria's Secret Angels: What kind of angel are you?

Victoria's Secret put their Angels on the spot on the set of the Dream Angels Forever™ TV shoot. Victoria's Secret Angels Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Lily Aldridge and Chanel Iman answer the question 'What kind of Angel are you?'

I like Adrianas's answers the most. "The Angel of Wisdom". And, of course, so cool "Me? Is she kidding?"

So really: what kind of Angel are YOU?

Karl Lagerfeld: no Paper Passion fragrance

Karl Lagerfeld WON'T launch a fragrance called Paper Passion.  His obsession with books is at least as strong as the obsession with creating clothes. The designer owns a bookstore in Paris, called 7L, situated on Rue de Lille, 7. And, of course, we can't but mention his infamous studio in Paris, where Lagerfeld keeps around 300 000 books.

I'm upset, to be honest, because not so long ago I finally realised how wonderful the world of books is, and how bottomless, eternal it is. And I was so looking forward to this fragrance hitting the shelves of stores. What's more, Karl Lagerfeld for me has always been something special, and everything he touches 'grabs' my mind and doesn't let go. That's what Karl does.

But still we won't see Paper Passion, since the designer's PR director Caroline Fragner recently said that only beauty giant Coty Prestige develops and distributes any fragrance for the label Karl Lagerfeld. She also stated:

“Mr Lagerfeld refutes his implication in the launch of the perfume Paper Passion. This project, of which Mr Steidl [Steidl - Lagerfeld's publisher] told him about, only emanates from the art books' publisher himself.

Mr Lagerfeld copublishes many books with Mr Steidl but sticks to Coty Prestige when it is about his own perfumes' creations.”

Books shape man's mind and heart. I adore Karl Lagerfeld.

Olivier Rousteing becomes Balmain's new creative director

Olivier Rousteing, about whom we know very little, is Balmain's new creative director. Young designer takes over Christophe Decarnin, who was officially out of Balmain on 6th April. Very little is known about Olivier. He is a graduate of the French Internationational Fashion University, Ecole Supérieure des Arts et Techniques in Paris (ESMOD). He worked at Balmain since 2009, before that had been working at Roberto Cavalli for about six years.

The designer is said not to give interviews until his Spring/Summer 2012 collection, which will be shown in October at Paris Fashion Week.

We wish you luck, Olivier!

Lady Gaga on NME Cover

Lady Gaga appeared on NME magazine cover, wearing almost nothing. "I am not full of sh*t. Are you?" - provocative, but we like that.

She's all about freedom, isn't she?

Naomi Campbell Vogue Japan June 2011 Cover

We can now enjoy June's cover of Vogue Japan, where Naomi Campbell-Doronina shines in Gucci Spring/Summer 2011 golden dress like an african warior woman. The super model's been on the cover of Vogue Japan twice (this one and November 1999), and is one of only two black models (with Liya Kebede in January 2004) who have ever appeared on the cover of Japanese Vogue.

Let's enjoy Naomi shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. Orange, orange everywhere.

What's interesting, French L'Officiel March 2011 cover featured the same Gucci dress, but worn by Beyoncé (shot by Mark Pillai). Both times we have beautiful women with beautiful bronze skin, that's perfect for the dress, so the covers are equally beautiful too.

But I personally give my preference to Vogue cover, not because I like Naomi or Beyoncé more. Firstly, there's something wrong with the face expression of the pop/R'n'B diva, something unpleasant. Secondly, it's my Beloved VOGUE - my Beloved Vogue..

Tom Ford Spring/Summer 2011 Presentation

Here's the collection we've all been waiting for so long (in fact, its presentation). Tom Ford SS 2011 collection, first womenswear collection he created, after having worked for Gucci and YSL and having created his own brand Tom Ford in 2005. It's terrific.

Music : Karen Elson - Pretty Babies

Burberry Spring/Summer 2011 April Showers collection

I am always so delighted when I watch Burberry short videos of their capsule collections. There's always something in them that makes you want to watch them again and again. Well, slow motion is always very interesting for me. But the way they are dressed, there's something playish. And the music. Burberry always has good music - young English bands, whose sound is always fresh and different from what we're used to.

Still can't I forget Burberry Winter Storms Collection 2010, when they release this beautiful Burberry SS 2011 April Showers collection. Oh yes, rubber boots, umbrellas, plastic bags, bright colours (as in the AW 2011 collection) and pools. Burberry style. Perfect for the English climat.

The video features British models Sebastian Brice and Cara Delevingne. I wonder why they choose girls with light hair. Preferably.

Gucci Support Japan bracelet

Gucci is introducing a limited-edition bracelet to support relief efforts in Japan. It's designed by Frida Giannini, who joined Gucci in 2002 as design director of handbags, and in 2006 was promoted to Creative Director for the entire Gucci label. The white and red bracelet features a charm with the message “Gucci loves you” engraved on it. All proceeds go to the Red Cross Society.

You can buy the bracelet in Japan starting Saturday and then worldwide in Gucci stores later this season.

I wish I had it, because it's beautiful.

Demi Lovato is leaving 'Sonny with a Chance'

Disney star Demi Lovato will no longer appear on Disney Channel hit series Sonny With A Chance.

"It made sense for me to go ahead and leave the show to focus on my music."

"It's kind of sad for me that a chapter of my life has ended but there couldn't be a better time for me to move on."

"I don't think going back to Sonny would be healthy for my recovery," says Lovato, who returned to Los Angeles in January after completing three months of in-patient treatment. "Being in front of a camera would make me nervous."

What I really liked is the attitude of the Disney Channel to Demi's decision. "We respect Demi's decision to focus fulltime on her music and not immediately return to her acting career," a rep for the Disney Channel said in a statement. "She is a talented young woman and our hearts are with her as she continues to take action to improve her health and bounce back from adversity."

But even without its main star, the show will still go on: the series is being reinvented as a sketch comedy program called So Random!, which will debut in June.

Demi, who will continue to record under Disney's label Hollywood Records, calls her decision to walk away from her TV gig "nerve-racking." But, she says, "I'm really excited to see where everything goes."

Good luck, Demi!

Lindsey Wixson's Jason Wu prom dress

On Saturday night model Lindsey Wixson had one of the most wonderful experiences in her life - the prom. She was wearing Jason Wu off-shoulder blue gown (Karlie Kloss also chose this designer for her prom dress). Lindsey looked simple and elegant - just a perfect combination.

In September of 2010 Lindsey said  she'd die to have Jason Wu design her prom dress, and shortly thereafter, the designer's team reached out to Lindsey letting her know that Jason would be happy to create a dress for her prom.

Dreams come true, don't they?

Hannah MacGibbon extends her Chloé contract

After Galliano leaving Dior and Decarnin no more staying at Balmain, there appeared rumors that Hannah MacGibbon will be parting ways with Chloé.

Hannah has been a creative director of French fashion house since 2008, and this last season her contract was up. So no surprise why there were guesses she would leave the house. But today it was officially confirmed that MacGibbon renews her contract for one more season. To prove it, on Friday Chloé’s chief executive officer Geoffroy de la Bourdonnaye stated: “Hannah is still with us, that's all I can say.”

Happy Birthday, Emma Watson!

Our beloved Emma Watson has a birthday today! I grew with Hermione Granger, and after the first part of Harry Potter series I was really obsessed. Soon, several years later, I was really calm about it all. Still I liked watching them sometimes. Last summer I kept watching and watching last 3 parts, and decided to read them finally (shame on me, I didn't do it before). And really, couple of weeks - I'm done. And I welcome the obsession the second time. Wonderful books, truly wonderful. If only you knew, how I like them. These books made children throughout the world start reading. Reading - think about it. And many of them, me including, became addicted to the characters, and they became my friends, undoubtedly. Both books and characters. My love is to Harry Potter is so true. And be honest, it's also due to the cast. So let's congratulate Emma on her birthday!

We grew up, Emma grew up. Let's see her metamorphosis.

I'll miss Emma as Hermione with all my heart, as well as all the other guys who created the whole new universe - the universe of Harry Potter. But we'll hear from all of them, and not only once. I'm sure.

So thank you!
